I decided to part with my vintage Glycine Airman Special, a 24hrs watch with GMT functions well known among collectors, with numerous modern reissues to its name. Serial number 947214, still readable on caseback, dates back the watch to 1968, according to spreadsheet included among pics.
I sell it because I don't wear it enough.

I bought this watch locally at the beginning of the year to a fellow collector who had previously found it on american ebay, sold by its first owner.

It's a very nice watch, in lovely all original conditions, working strong. It comes with the original stainless steel bracelet, not easy to find, and the wooden box in which it was sold at the time, even in American PX stores in Vietnam.

It features a stainless steel case just over 36mm without crowns and 20mm lug width which makes them wear really nice and bigger. Very good strong snap back EPSA compressor case with no signs of polishing, just some wear.
Original crazed crystal in good conditions with correct cyclops date, original crowns, very nice original matte dial with clear prints and original lume still glowing. Please note that Glycine crown on dial was introduced in 1967, consistent with watch dating to 1968.
Rotating bezel works smoothly with firm lock via the crown at 08.00hrs.

Correct AS2163 automatic movement works strong, hacking seconds feature included, which is a nice bonus as the large majority of the vintage Glycine Airman that come up for sale have non working hack mechanisms. Last service unknown.

Watch and me are located in Rome, Italy. Given conditions I'm asking 1800 euros net to me, which I think is a nice price given the full originality of the piece, the working hack function and the presence of original bracelet and wooden box.
