Hi everyone, today I’m selling my Seiko 7A28-7120 RAF pilot chronograph. This is just a cool watch. Made by Seiko for the British Royal Air Force starting in the 80s, this watch from 1988 features the equally cool and collectible Seiko 7A28 quartz chronograph movement which was the world’s first analog quartz chronograph movement, and also utilizes a unique split-seconds function. The top right pusher activates chronograph and the bottom right pusher stops/restarts the chronograph function – just as you would any other chronograph. However, where this Seiko differs from the norm is with the top left pusher. Pressing this third pusher during chronograph timing acts as a split function. The watch is 37mm wide and 10mm thick, with fixed lugs. The design is a classic minimalist pilot chrono. I do love the “12” at the top of the dial as a bit of a design differentiator. The watch uses promethium lume on the dial and hands, as indicated by the “circle P” right on the dial, which still has a mild glow. Prior to my purchasing the watch, the watch was cleaned, and the battery and crystal both replaced, so this one is running perfectly and looks amazing. On the caseback you can see all of the engravings clearly, with some light polish from years on a NATO strap. Asking for $1200, including US shipping, PayPal or Zelle are best.
