Ladies and Gentleman, Greetings from the hills of Tennessee! This is an excellent opportunity to own a rare Vintage Monaco from the early 1970s for about half the cost! Although the dial is branded "Eska" the watch is the same as a Heuer Monaco Ref 73633. These were made by the same factory as the Heuers (identical dial and handset) because Heuer had exclusive rights to the square Monaco cases designed by Piquerez. This watch carries the same reference number and serial series as the Heuer signed pieces and even had "Heuer Leonidas SA" engraved inside the case which on this example was not even fully removed at the factory (see macro shot in album). *I have read that possibly as few as 4500 Monacos were produced—in all variations. Given that this one is "Eska" signed, adds even more to its rarity.* The amazing brushed silver gray dial is stunning with the black contrast subdials. IMHO probably the best dial configuration of the Monaco. The matching gray racing strap is a vintage leather piece (signed Rodania) with "inox" (stainless) stamped buckle that has an M on it. The size wears well on a variety of wrists because even though the case is 40mm wide (wears similar to a 42mm) and covers a lot of wrist real estate, the lug to lug is compact so it works well on even smaller wrists down to probably 15cm diameter (~6 inches). Unpolished case has scratches but overall in nice condition. Dial has some marks/fading (see pix). The crystal is in good condition but has some "fading" spots,I'm not really sure how to describe it and it's not always visible, it's just kinda "cloudy" in spots. This may be able to be buffed out, I don't know if it's surface or internal. Replacement crystals are readily available and not too expensive (~$55).
