Hi /r/watchexchange, up for sale is my 1960s Zodiac Aerospace GMT which I bought about a year ago from a member of this community. This is a lovely vintage piece and one of the very few sub-40mm watches with a 24h hand / GMT function. On top, the watch features a timeless yet unique design. Condition of this watch is overall good considering its age. The dial is spotless without any scratching or color-fading. The hands are all original albeit the lume has faded over the years. The bi-directional bakelite bezel works beautifully and has a nice two-tone color (black / grayish-blue). As you can see from the pictures, it has a few scratches and a small crack chip at 8-mark. The case is all stainless steel and since it hasn’t been polished it features a few scratches as well - this watch has obviously been worn by its previous owners. It comes with an aftermarket flat link bracelet and a grey suede strap (Nomos, unmarked buckle). Now the most important part: whoever buys this watch benefits from a full service that I had done by my watchmaker shortly after I bought the watch. The cal. 75 movement was completely dismantled, cleaned, oiled and re-assembled. These watches can be a pain to service since the spring barrel cannot be opened and repaired. NOS pieces are hard to come by as well so I bought a new spring barrel that was made exactly to the old specs of the former Swiss manufacturer who supplied these to Zodiac in the 60s. My watchmaker further replaced the crown with an aftermarket crown which looks very similar to the original crown. You will receive the old spring barrel and crown with the watch.
