Selling my SRP455 2nd Gen Limited Edition Monster for $750. Released in 2013, supposedly only 1000 made. Selling because I just don't wear it as much and am looking to buy an SPB187. It's in great condition. Only 2 very small cosmetic issues. One dot nick on the lug (incredibly small) and one nick on the "ridge" right above the '15' on the dial. It's only noticeable if you're looking for it. I tried my best to capture both in my photos. Other than that, everything is great. Crystal is clear, bezel rotation is very nice, lume is very bright, crown spins without issues, everything lines up perfectly. Previous owner said it's running at +3 seconds and I never had any reason to disagree. I don't have a timegrapher, but it always kept time. The original strap is very old and stiff. The keeper on the short end has broken (see pics). I never wore it on the original strap, as I wear it on the Uncle Seiko GL831 (short) blue strap. You will get the full kit as seen in the pictures including the Uncle Seiko strap. If you have any questions or want to see more pictures, let me know. The company was founded in 1881, when Kintarō Hattori opened a watch and jewelry shop called "K. Hattori" (服部時計店 Hattori Tokeiten?) in the Ginza area of Tokyo, Japan. Eleven years later, in 1892, he began to produce clocks under the name Seikosha (精工舎 Seikōsha?), meaning roughly "House of Exquisite Workmanship". According to Seiko's official company history, titled "A Journey In Time: The Remarkable Story of Seiko" (2003), Seiko is a Japanese word meaning "exquisite" or "success" ("exquisite" is usually written 精巧 from Chinese jīngqiǎo, while the meaning "success" is usually written 成功 from Chinese chénggōng).

Seiko is perhaps best known for its wristwatches, all of which were at one time produced entirely in-house. This includes not only major items such as microgears, motors, hands, crystal oscillators, batteries, sensors, LCDs but also minor items such as the oils used in lubricating the watches and the luminous compounds used on the hands and the dials.
