Bold. Masculine. Unmistakably Cartier. The Calibre de Cartier Diver is a rarity: both beautiful and capable. The House of Cartier is known for its elegant designs, particularly in more dressy watches. The reference W7100057 is a capable ISO rated diver, that combines all the capabilities you could ask for in a tool watch, with a masculine design in Cartier’s own design language, and a build quality you won’t find in watches at double the price. 300m water resistance with a screw-down crown ensures that this piece will happily go anywhere you want (I’m thinking infinity pool in Bali), while the super-slender 11mm depth ensures that it will slip under any cuff. If you’ve seen my other listings, you know that I am an absolute fanatic about how a watch feels. This watch is solid and substantial on the wrist. The twin trigger butterfly clasp gives a solid and precise snap into position, and the unidirectional bezel action is one of, if not the smoothest I’ve ever felt. The level of finishing is absolutely out of this world. One example is the fine scalloping on the bezel edge, which is polished on the underside (not sure I’ve seen this before, but it’s gorgeous in person) and very subtly mirrored on the rehaut.
