I have decided to sell my 1960 Vacheron & Constantin, reference 6399. It is a watch I purchased last november from a private seller in Turin, who had inherited it. Before me, it had always been owned by the same family. It is truly a very genuine and unmolested watch.

Right after purchasing it, I had it thoroughly serviced by my trusted watchmaker, and now the manual caliber K1001 works perfectly. I'm selling it because, despite everything, I don't see myself wearing it and would prefer something more sporty.

Some details about the watch: the monobloc case is made of 18kt yellow gold and is in good condition, with only a few superficial marks on the case back. It is properly stamped on the inside, hallmarked on the lugs and features a very unusual shape on the sides and lugs. It measures 33mm without the original crown, and the lug width is 18mm. The original crystal was polished during the service and is in good condition. The golden hands set is original.
Case serial dates back the watch to 1960.

The original champagne dial is very unusual, featuring applied gold circular markers around the entire circumference except between 11-12 and 12-1, providing a rare and pleasing aesthetic design. The logo at 12 and the "Swiss" marking at 6 are correct.

The dial is in good condition, except for two small spots near the 12 o’clock area and a few micro spots here and there, which are visible only up close and under certain lighting conditions.

Venerable manual winding k1001 calibre is in very good conditions and works strong after the recent service. The service invoice will be included in the sale.

Watch comes on a brand new blue suede Molequin strap. Generic buckle.
