I am selling my stainless steel Omega Seamaster chronometre with bumper 354 movement 14766233 circa 1955, case reference 2767-5C. I have had this watch since 2013 and had it serviced that year, so although it seems to be running fine it’s well due for another service. The cream crosshair dial is original and near flawless with one or two tiny spots only visible on close examination and no staining or discoloration. There are radium lume dots on the baton markers but there has never been lume on the quarter markers, which is correct for this dial variant.

The case has the usual wear marks from nearly 70 years, the most obvious being on the upper right lug. There's also a light scratch on the bezel in the same area which appears much more prominent in the photo than in reality. The “Seamaster” “Waterproof” legend on the back is faint but readable. The crown is correct and original to the watch. I can't see an Omega logo on the crystal so either it's a replacement or predates the use of logos on this model as they seem to have begun some time in the 1950s. The watch comes on a No. 12 BOR with No. 11 end links.

I realise that the internal photos aren’t great; they were taken by my watchmaker when he serviced it in 2013 and I don’t want to risk scratching the case by attempting to open it. I will take more external photos if requested.

I have tried to highlight all flaws but they are minimal and don’t detract. This is a rare and lovely watch which I’ve always been very happy with but I just don’t wear it, someone else will love it and I could use the money. These seldom turn up so it’s been difficult to value but this is my best guess which I think is a reasonable price.

In the coming weeks I’ll be offering out a few more good watches that don’t get worn. For this one I am asking £975 to include posting by Special Delivery within the UK. Sorry but I will only sell within the UK.
