Good afternoon, WatchEx! Second for tonight, a bronze beauty: the Shinola Bronze Monster Automatic. Shinola is a bit of a polarizing brand, no doubt - but those that have tried their newer automatic watches will tell you that they're nothing short of exceptional. It was only a matter of time before the Detroit brand infiltrated the Swiss automatic space, and the Monster is as serious of a daily diver as you'll find in this price range. Coming in at a slightly bigger case size (43mm), it feels every bit as comfortable as some of my favorite 42mm divers - the Omega SMP 300, and the Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro. Normally, I'd comment on the finishing - this being bronze, that's not necessary. The patina process is underway on this example, though it takes ~20 minutes to reset the patina if you'd rather start your own journey with it. Another benefit of bronze - you won't notice any light marks/scratches.
