[WTS] Fortis Flieger Chronograph GMT Chronometer - 598.10.151.1
[Timestamp](https://imgur.com/a/vlolEdl) After some long deliberation I've decided to sell my extremely rare Fortis Flieger Chronograph GMT Chronometer, reference 598.10.151.1. This watch was made by Fortis in 2002, and comes with the full kit- box, paperwork, manual, filled out warranty card, hang tag, and chronometer certificate. I haven't even seen another of these watches come up for sale, much less with the entire package like this one! This watch has combined chronograph and GMT functions, with the standard center chronograph seconds hand, thirty minute counter at 12, and 12 hour counter at 6. The running seconds subdial is at 9. The 24 hour GMT dial is at 3. It is a Flyer GMT, where the hour hand is independently adjustable. The movement is a Valjoux 7750 chronograph with a GMT module added. All functions work and set without issue, and the chronograph second hand snaps back exactly to zero.. The caseback has service markings for 2016 and another that is undated. It is currently running well, but a service may be advisable in the next few years. One thing to note is that if the power reserve is too low (i.e. hasn't been worn or wound) and the chronograph function is engaged, the chronograph seconds hand may pause at 59 seconds as it needs more power to click over the minute counter wheel. I have not encountered this problem when it's been fully wound and worn. Note that all functions have been working and timekeeping has been accurate, but I do not provide any guarantees on the movement. See timegraph photo and movement photos. The case measures 40mm in diameter, 47.5mm lug to lug, 20mm lug width, and 14.5mm thick. It's extremely comfortable on wrist and way more proportional and wearable than the following generation of Fortis Fliegers. I'm always amazed that Fortis managed to put an automatic chronograph movement, with a GMT module, into a case this thick and maintain 100m of water resistance. The sapphire crystal has Fortis' famous anti reflective coatings on the inside and out, giving it extreme clarity. There are a few slight scuffs on the exterior AR coating. Note pics. The original bracelet has some honest wear, and has enough links to fit approx. a 7.75" wrist. It also features a dive extension. I purchased this from the original owner, a pilot who used it on the job for years. This watch was a prize of my own Fortis collection and will be for any Fortis or aviation watch collector. I'm asking $1,600 shipped and insured CONUS for the watch. I may consider trades, but not trading down. Open to offers as well.
