This is an uncommon (I don't know if they're rare, but I've not seen that many compared to other f300Hz models) Omega Electronic f300Hz De Ville Chronometer reference 198.0019, with stainless steel case and blue dial with applied markers.

I bought this watch in December 2020 from the grandson of the original owner, he had sent it to Electric Watches in 2019 as a non runner, where it received a service and a new date wheel - I do not have paperwork for this service (anyone who's used EW knows that he doesn't work that way...) but it is now running, and the date changes smoothly... so something's been done in the last few years, I just can't prove it.

I have replaced the battery with a new Renata and over 24 hours it's keeping good time.

This is possibly the chunkiest of the f300Hz models - 36mm wide, 42mm top to bottom, and 13mm thick at the deepest point - however it keeps the same 20mm lug width found across the range.

Crystal is an original Omega one with logo, crown is the original/a correct replacement.

Asking for £650 plus postage.

Founded at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland in 1848 by 23-year-old Louis Brandt who assembled key-wound precision pocket watches from parts supplied by local craftsmen. He travelled throughout Europe selling his watches from Italy to Scandinavia by way of England, his chief market. After Louis Brandt's death in 1879, his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, troubled by irregular deliveries of questionable quality, abandoned the unsatisfactory assembly workshop system in favour of in-house manufacturing and total production control. Due to the greater supply of manpower, communications and energy in Bienne, the enterprise moved into a small factory in January 1880, then bought the entire building in December. Two years later the company moved into a converted spinning-factory in the Gurzelen district of Bienne, where headquarters are still situated today. Their first series-produced calibres, Labrador and Gurzelen, as well as, the famous Omega calibre of 1894, would ensure the brand's marketing success.
