[WTS/WTT] True Favorites: PRX, Dan Henry 1970, Mr Jones Sun and Moon, Bronze Filson Field
Four genuine favorites are in need of quality wrist time. Free shipping to CONUS, otherwise will send anywhere for the cost of shipping. WTT: I prefer case sizes 36-39mm and I want to reduce my collection, so giving two-for-one would be an awesome outcome if the stars align. **Dan Henry 1970** *$350 USD* Classic compression style diver, number 0213 of 1970 pieces. This particular color with a full-round orange chapter ring was the first of this model to sell out. It’s no longer available and rarely comes up for sale. As far as the watch itself, its short slightly sloping lugs hug the wrist and should fit a variety of wrist sizes. A neat feature is the nicely designed octopus case back. Comes with a Dan Henry fabric watch roll and two extra straps, new nato and silicon options as seen in photos. Watch seems to be in fine condition, but the original strap was worn by the previous owner. From Mr. Jones: “The crescent shape on the watch represents 12 hours, with the time running from left to right. To find the hour, you’ll need to check the position of the sun or moon inside the crescent shape. At 6am the sun rises on the left. It reaches the middle of the crescent at midday, then continues until it reaches the last marker on the right at 6pm. After 6pm the moon rises on the left while the sun sets. The position of the moon then marks the hours from 6pm until 6am. The minute hand is in the middle of the watch face, and this runs in the conventional way. Each marker represents five minutes. A variety of animals populate the day and night sides of the watch, roughly mapped to the times of day when they would naturally appear.” Case wears a great, with its narrow width, slim thickness, and a longer lug to lug. Comes with the original box and unworn strap. The case has dings and scratches from daily wear and tear. I’ve tried my best to capture the piece and all it’s glory, in the photos. Model: Sun and Moon Movement: Ronda 515-24H Quartz Case Width: 37mm Lug to Lug: 46mm Thickness: 10mm Lug Width: 18mm Mr Jones Price: $200 OBO Mr Jones Pics/Video: https://imgur.com/a/VIZDeS3 **Shinola x Filson** *$150 USD* Bronze field watch in a terrific classic style from Filson made by Shinola. Both Kartsotis Bedrock Fossil companies. It’s in a traditional case size, albeit a bit thick for a field watch. The large screw down mosaic signed crown is just gorgeous and my favorite part of the watch. I also like the “CC Filson Co Seattle WA” on the nicely done screw down case back. In my humble opinion, there are clearly years of thoughtful watchmaking expertise behind this fashion piece. Comes almost new with the original unworn Filson strap, in addition to a cheap replacement leather that I felt better matched the bronze. This one will be fun for someone to patina! Movement: Argonite 1069 Quartz Case Width: 36mm Lug to Lug: 42.5mm Thickness: 12mm Lug Width: 18mm Filson Price: $150 OBO Filson Pics/Video: https://imgur.com/a/niuP75u **PENDING TRADE** ~~Tissot PRX The integrated bracelet is the star of the show. It really sparkles in the sunlight and feels hefty and strong. The watch itself has a nice slim profile and feels well made. It’s obvious why it is so popular. As with most of my watches, I traded for this one and it came used by one owner. The bracelet has quite a few surface scratches apparently from regular desk diving. They haven’t bothered me and there are not any dents or dings to speak of in the event you wanted to polish the links. It’s a catch and release because it feels slightly too large and I want to try a 35mm PRX, they seem perfect for my dainty wrists. Comes with the original box, but the box has seen better days. The back fell off and the box is generally worn out. Sized to 6.5” with five extra links, I assume the full bracelet, but I can’t be sure. Unfortunately, I recently lost access to my former Reddit account and my legacy transaction history where I’ve done many happy deals on WE. Happy to try to provide whatever confirmation people need.
