What makes this timepiece a 'hyper rare' one? Well, the Valjoux 88 movement has been manufactured in 13,218 units (used by many brands), ONLY! So, it's the rarest and most complex Valjoux ever made, a few survived to this day! It was in production for 27 years, between 1947-1974, so, they made only around 500 per year!

This one here is even rarer, it has the Valjoux 886 movement, which beats at 21600 bph, not just at 18000 bph, like the regular 88. Most likely, there were less than 1000 manufactured.

Heuer, Ulysse Nardin, Breitling, Gallet, Bovet, Minerva and other major brands used it back in the days.
Particularly this watch is in EXCELLENT condition as you can see! It's a GRAIL watch!

The watch is all original in every part, it was serviced in 02.2023, it runs excellent, all the Chrono and calendar functions are working as they should.

The watch was never polished, it retains the circular brushed finish on the back case and the lugs with sharp edges! It's triple signed on the dial, inside the back case and on the movement's bridge.

This is the closest you can get to the legendary Patek Philippe 1518 at a very small fraction of the cost! In fact, the Valjoux 88 offers more by counting also the hours over the Moonphase subdial. The difference between these is the Patek has the date hand over the Moonphase subdial, while the Valjoux has the date hand on the main dial. That's because the 88 was built on the Valjoux 72 base.

There are only a handful like these in this condition all around the world no matter the brand!

The watch comes with an original Tourneau Certified Pre-Owned set of boxes, pouch and cloth! The outer box is not in the best condition.

The size of the watch is 36x43 mm.
