[WTS] 1972 Girard Perregaux Quartz - First Swiss Analog Quartz Watch | 510$
For sale is a rare 1970s Girard Perregaux Quartz. The watch is in very good condition, featuring a gorgeous blue dial and stainless steel case. Contrary to what most enthusiasts think, the first commercially-available quartz watch wasn’t the joint collaboration between Patek Philippe, Rolex, and other brands. It was actually Girard Perregaux who reached the market first with the 350 series of movements, developed in partnership with Motorola. Moreover, Girard Perregaux and Motorola’s movement was also the first quartz-powered watch with a frequency of 32,768 kHz, which is still the industry standard today. The Beta 21-based movement beat was several times slower, at 8,192 Hz. **Details & More** **Condition:** Good. Minor scratches on the case and crystal. See the pictures for a better description. **Case size:** 38.7 x 43.7mm stainless steel case. **Movement:** Girard Perregaux 351-513, quartz. **Other information:** * Includes a Watch Garage full grain leather strap ($85). Price: Asking 510$. Add 80$ for worldwide shipping via UPS. [Pictures](https://imgur.com/a/di9QcMe) [Timestamp](https://imgur.com/a/9DvPfFq)
