DOXA Sub 300 Searambler COSC 50th Anniversary Edition *ONE OF 300* Love this watch, just consolidating my collection and aiming upmarket. At first glance you might not see the immediate distinction between this model and the new Sub 300 COSC currently being sold by Doxa. But upon closer inspection, little details start to stick out — the slightly vintage coloring on the lumed hands and indices, the no-decompression markings in feet rather than meters (and in red paint, rather than orange). Then there’s the dial printing, with the original 1960s type rather than the blocky modern fonts you see on the newer editions. Not that there’s anything lacking in the new Sub 300 — I currently own one — but these 50th anniversary editions are truly something special. If you worry about the wearability of a 42.5mm case, I can tell you it wears extremely flat and closer to a 40mm diameter — the case profile hugs your wrist and the bracelet end links drop straight down from the lugs. Because the height includes the domed crystal, which nearly disappears while on the wrist, what you experience is closer to an 11.0-11.5mm height and 40-41mm diameter. The lug length is super short as well at 45mm; all in all, the perfect chunky diver for most wrist sizes. If you’ve seen a Sub 300T before, those are MUCH chunkier than this Sub 300, but even the larger T models retain some great design traits that make them fit better on the wrist than you’d expect. Only 300 of these were made and sold by Doxa in 2017-2019ish; they can no longer be bought directly from the brand and they’re exceptionally rare to see secondhand or in the wild. On Chrono24 and eBay they often fetch north of $3k, and if the watch had an AquaLung logo in the lower left dial quadrant (this one obviously doesn’t) those prices run into the $5k range. The bracelet is in amazing shape, one minor wear mark on the clasp but otherwise it’s practically box-fresh. All original links included to fit wrists up to 8.5” or even larger; Currently sized for my 7” wrist. This looks awesome on NATO and rubber straps as well, like any retro diver would (20mm lug width). As for the movement, I have no service history to provide but it’s a COSC-calibrated ETA 2824-2; I’ve never opened the caseback. The watch is running within COSC standards on AND off-wrist, and I’m the kind of buyer/seller who would be transparent if there were any movement issues whatsoever. Other notes on condition: a couple very small hairline scratch on the polished bezel, no wear marks or scratches at all on any of the brushed parts of the case or bezel. Only significant wear marks are under the lugs from strap changes, per usual, and even these are minimal. The domed sapphire crystal is in perfect shape; the crown screws down smoothly, time & date setting are flawless, and hand winding or screwing in the crown is silky smooth. Included with the watch: Doxa booklet/CD Original aluminum tube-case COSC papers Warranty card from Doxa dated May 3 2019 I’m asking $2800 net to me for this, prefer PayPal F&F. Watch will be shipped with upgraded UPS or USPS service at buyer’s request, can ship the same day I receive payment if at all possible (before 4pm EST). If you want to see more images or discuss trade possibilities (I might consider the right Tudor BB58 or Ranger 39?) send me a chat!

The price of this watch is an outlier for this particular model and not included in the distribution. It may be miscategorized, incorrectly priced, or extremely unique.
