Offered here is a 1970’s Dugena “Monza” Chronograph with a manual-wind Valjoux 7765 movement, Di-Modell rally strap, and original bracelet. This piece hearkens back to its better-known contemporary, the Heuer 13-1 (http://www.onthedash.com/chronograph/reference-13-1-chronograph/). Actually, aside from the lack of PVD and handset, they are visually identical. In fact, I suspect that—besides the design—they shared the same suppliers/parts, as was not uncommon for Swiss brands big and small back in the day (https://monochrome-watches.com/the-story-of-dugena-or-what-is-a-poor-mans-heuer-vintage-corner/). Hence the term, “Poor Man’s Heuer.” It is in good used condition, especially considering its age. Service history is unknown, but the time-keeping is good. All hands reset to zero. Case is sharp and crisp, and the manual winding is pure butter. Specifications: Movement: Valjoux 7765 — manual wind @ 18,000 bph Timekeeping: +/- 20 sec/day Case Material: stainless steel Case: 43mm (lug-to-lug) x 41.2mm (44.6mm w/ crown) x 14mm thick Lug Width: 19mm Condition: scratches and small scuffs. missing some lume plots Strap&Bracelet: mounted like-new Di-Modell leather rally with gray stitching. bracelet measures 15.3mm long Note: Although the caseback says automatic, it is definitely original to this hand-wound example. I was able to track down another owner with this piece in NOS condition w/ box&papers, who corroborated my suspicions with photos of their example. I subscribe this to another case of 70’s Swiss-watch quirkiness. Priced at $600 OBO shipped CONUS only Additional photos and verification- https://imgur.com/a/6BlnobI
