The dial is adorned with Grand Seiko’s acclaimed Iwao pattern—the light blue color here inspired by the sea of clouds that float around the mountains of Shinshu in the mornings.  Powering the watch is an upgraded version of caliber 9F85. It is accurate to +5 / -5 seconds a year, and the hour hand can be advanced independently, making this an excellent traveler’s watch. A golden five-pointed star over the six o’clock index on the dial symbolizes the enhanced accuracy of the caliber.
