Rolex Submariner 5513 Meters First Dial circa 1967 While the Submariner is hands down the most iconic diver, the 5513 specifically is arguably the champion of all Rolex divers.  The production ran from the early 1960s until 1989.  Within that span, there were 3 general variants.  This is one of the early variants:: matte dial with tritium markers (no gold surrounds), acrylic crystal, friction bezel insert and solid 93150 Oyster bracelet (period correct would be a folded rivet oyster and we can actually source and pair it with one).   The “Meters First” 5513, refers to the printing of the depth rating on the dial beginning with meters and being followed by the equivalent in feet. When collectors deep diver into a model or even a reference, they will find a 4-digit Rolex to almost be a whole brand or universe on its own with all the variations and subtle details. Overall, the stainless steel case is as crispy, thick and as sharp as they come—no damage but definitely professionally polished and a few light marks under case from springbars sliding on for bracelet removal and install. Bezel insert shows age and wear. While no service history it is also running as smoothly and as accurate as it can.  The tritium lume on the dial is charges up then fades like it should be and all components appear to be period correct. _________________________________________________ * timestamp pix Videos and timegrapher:  https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZPC3WBxQdqBKWSzj3v_z3NWxFhQy8PMH?usp=sharing * Specifications: 40mm case X  20lug width X 47h (lug to lug) X cc with crystal * Box and papers: no * Bracelet: yes,11 link Oyster bracelet is excellent showing only very light stretch for its age.
