**Credor GCBK993 Chronograph** A very uncommon Auto Chronograph by Credor, from a unique period in Credors product design history. In the late 90’s and early 2000’s Credor began to switch from exclusively thin quartz dress watches to introducing some mechanical movements and more sporting designs in order to compete with Rolex in the everyday sports watch segment of the market. The Credor Pheonix line had an 8l 3 hander, 2 4s variants and these top of the range Chronographs. The 6s77 was at the time Seiko's first mechanical Chronograph since the 80’s and a point of pride for Seiko, the development of the 6s bought some of Seiko's best older watchmakers out of retirement (hence the name, Pheonix) and sat at the top of Seiko's catalogues at the time. I love this piece because it feels both sophisticated with its impeccable build quality, unique case shape and onyx crown while also being a sports watch with chronograph and lumed dial/hands, very useable for everyday wear. This one is in nice condition, as you can see it is used, it has its share of scratches and knocks but it overall presents extremely well in person, crystal is unmarked and AR is clear, dial and hands are perfect. Runs very nicely; \~+/-3 sec on the wrist usually. It only had a tiny bracelet length when I acquired it 3 years ago, I since then went through great trouble to source some extra links to bring it out to 18.5cm, looks great on a croc or silicone strap.
