ALD15701 is one of the coolest mechanical alarm watches to come out of Japan in the 1960s. Powered by the manual-wind Caliber 15701 with 21 jewels, this piece delivers both reliable timekeeping and a surprisingly loud, crisp mechanical alarm that still functions exactly as it should. The dual-crown layout makes the alarm easy to set and wind, and the non-quickset date adds that classic vintage charm. The watch measures approx. 37mm, giving it a strong wrist presence without losing its old-school proportions. It features an 18mm lug width, a screwback case, and a clean period-correct dial with that unmistakable Citizen vintage aesthetic. This example remains in excellent condition for its age, showing little scratches although there is a mark on the caseback but doesn’t affect the watch aesthetic. The dial is clean and crisp, the crystal is clear. It has been recently serviced and is keeping great time at +/-5s a day. The watch comes fitted on custom leather straps.
