The final watch of my collection must go. I bought this one a couple years ago from a friend in Hawaii. It was his grandfather’s service watch. Titanium. Analog SuperQuartz Chronograph Breitling Calibre 73, COSC certified chronometer. An excellent example of Breitling’s Superquartz movements, this 5-handed watch keeps incredible time (I’ve only set it once a year ago and it’s barely a few seconds off) in any condition (thermocompensated) and looks the part! The deep blue marine dial looks incredible. Dark and subtle until the sun hits it then boom. The lume is insane. Lumed numerals and markers excluding the 12 giving it a nice reference of orientation. The logo on the crown lines up and the chronograph seconds hand sports the logo in the upright position when not in use, the watch sports many cool details. There’s an extra minute counter hand hidden underneath the main seconds counter (counts to 100 minutes). It also features a 1/10th of a second counter in the 2oclock dial (check the video)! The crystal is faceted and the bezel curves ever so slightly over it. I tried to take some videos to show these cool details. You can adjust the hour hand independently as well while the watch runs so you can keep it set until your next battery change. It’s truly a set it and forget it. Insanely accurate! I changed the battery almost exactly a year ago, receipt pictured. Downsides are it does have some scratches on the clasp and around the bezel!
