If you're not familiar with Fears, it is a family-owned watchmaker in Bristol, England, founded in 1846, crushed by the quartz crisis, and restarted in 2016 by the great-great-great-grandson, a watchmaker himself, of the founder. I'm a big fan. There's an elegant curve from the edges of the case to the top of the crystal that makes the watch wear especially slim while lending it some dynamism as it sits perfectly on the wrist. If you were looking for a modern cushion-case design that isn't Panerai, I would recommend this above everything else out there (I know that Farer makes some nice ones at a different price point, and I like those, too, but this is next level). The dial is especially striking: a vibrant, rich purple with a classy sunburst. I struggled a great deal to photograph it, and I know that I haven't done it justice.
