Hello, WatchExchange! Miss me? Don't remember me? Well, I'm here. Today I have for sale a lovely, vintage **Longines Calatrava**\--and, as an added bonus, a **free Luch** with a striking tuxedo dial in need of some serious TLC. This Longines is actually one of the very first "serious" watches I bought for myself. Unfortunately, since I ordered it from overseas right before COVID hit, it took it almost a year to make its way through customs, and no, I am not exaggerating. It's somewhat of a sentimental piece for me, but it's not getting worn, and I'd like it to go to somebody who will give it the wrist time it deserves. Before anything else, please, **please comment here before chatting or messaging me**\--I *will not sell* to anyone who does not comment on this original sales post, end of story. **The watch**: This is a wonderful example of early 20th-century watchmaking. The stainless steel case is in all-round pretty stellar condition for something of this age, with just a few small scratches on the caseback. Has perfectly shaped, dog-leg lugs which emphasize the elegance of the case and make it taper onto the wrist nicely. The crown is ideally sized to neither be too large nor too small to easily grip and wind. Speaking of winding, this movement is, indeed, a manual, and is smooth and sturdy as anything. The dial, which really stands out given the lack of any substantial bezel, features gold leaf hands which ideally complement the classic Longines logo and alternating Arabic and teardrop hour markers. The subseconds dial is quite noticeably recessed, which adds a great bit of dimension. Finally, while I know people frequently try to pass significant visual deterioration off as "patina" which "adds to the character of the watch," well, I genuinely do think that the aging the originally white dial shows--now appearing mostly champagne, with some areas verging closer to cream--does give this watch a sense of personality, and does so without actually affecting any of the legibility or functionality of the piece. It also gives it a ton of play when different sources and colors of light hit it. **Condition**: As I said, I think this watch is in pretty tremendous cosmetic condition, but it is **sold as-is**, so please look at the photos to make your own determinations, and ask for more if you would like them! As for the movement, it continues to run like a champ and keep excellent time, but please note that I have no service history beyond the last five years, and as with all vintage timepieces, regular servicing is highly recommended. **Dimensions**: Measures a classic 34mm in diamater, and 41mm lug-to-lug. Absolutely wears a bit bigger than that, though, both because of the lack of a true bezel and the fact the lightness of the dial blends in with the steel. Just 9mm(!) thick, and only 5mm top to bottom if you don't include the heavily domed acryclic crystal. Takes a 16mm strap or bracelet, with non-drilled lugs. **Strap**: I am a strap hoarder, so please note that **this does not come with either the pictured strap or bracelet**, but I am happy to help you source another one, or I can sell you the brown strap for an **additional $25**. **Freebie!**: This purchase comes with the other watch head pictured, a really nice-looking vintage Luch with a beautiful tuxedo dial. I originally purchased it just for the looks, but servicing it has proven to be way more trouble than I am currently willing to put up with (think it's currently overwound, previously had balance problems), so feel free to take it and tool around. About the same dimensions as the Longines. **Price/Shipping**: Asking a (slightly) negotiable **$299**, which includes shipping with USPS anywhere in the CONUS. Happy to ship elsewhere, but extra expense will be on the buyer. I only take payment via PayPal F&F or Zelle, unless you have a simply ludicrous number of transactions on here and for some reason want to do it some other way. **Trades**: While I am mostly trying to get some money in, I would consider trades specifically for the following: a 36mm, evil panda, tricompax version of the Dan Henry 1964 chrono; a 36mm, blue-dial version of the San Martin SN0144; or the Cosmic Blue edition of the Lorier Astra (plus extra cash on my end, of course). Otherwise, unless you have some super neat vintage piece you're for some reason looking to offload, it's unlikely I'll bite, but you're always welcome to ask!
