I purchased this from the original owner who only wore this sparingly. It is unpolished and has its original finishing. This model is no longer being made and most of the ones available on chrono24/ebay are polished by the seller, once this happens the crisp lines between the brushing and zaratsu are rounded which take away from the look of the case. Interesting tidbits about the SBGF017 and its 8J56 movement is that it has the same +/-10 seconds per year as the 9F62, however it has a 5 year battery life (vs 3 years), 200m water resistance (vs 100m), independent jumping hour hand (the 9F62 does not have this, but successors do). It’s a 38mm case with a 44mm lug to lug, and 9.5mm thick, which give it a nice fit compared to the larger watch trend going on in the past 10 years. The dial has a beautiful off white tatami mat texture which showcases Grand Seiko’s excellence in dials. The zaratsu finished jumbo indices and hands are all lumed. I've worn this carefully only a few times since I obtained it. It runs very accurately. I set it to atomic time last July and it’s only gained 8 seconds which is within spec. The watch is currently sized to 16.5cm with additional 2.6cm of links available. Both half links are included. An extra battery is included. All of the original box, papers, and operation manuals are included. I am selling this for $925 USD shipped anywhere in the US. I will accept Paypal if the purchaser has a good transaction history.
