Hi all, today I’m selling my Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 1501 with a stunning blue radial dial, from 1971. As far as I understand this dial variant is pretty rare to begin with, and most radials I’ve seen are silver/cream with black indices—here the sunburst blue dial and white radial indices are just gorgeous and appear to radiate outwards into the flat engine-turned bezel. As a whole these design elements make the watch wear larger than its 34mm size. Another great element of this watch is the bracelet size, which fits my 7.5” wrist with room to spare, also rare for these older Rolexes! Even at this smaller size I love the way it wears on my wrist. This watch was serviced in 2024. Overall this is a really special variant on a classic Rolex OP.
