I am selling this 1960's Heuer Carrera 45 (ref. 3647S) This Silver dialed Carrera offered is a Reference 3647S, often referred to as the 'Carrera 45', for its 45 minute register at 3 o’clock. An absolute beauty with impressive legibility. The Case presents some wear throughout, indicating it was worn and well loved. The dial has no noticeable damage with very light patina and all lume plots at the hour markers in tact. The matching lume on the hands gives off an attractive pumpkin patina. The watch is paired with a vintage tropic sport strap and heuer buckle. In 1963, two iconic watches were released. The Rolex Daytona and the Heuer Carrera. Heuers first Carrera release was the 2447, which was a three-register chronograph with a black or silver dial. Not long after, the reference 3647 was introduced, like the one offered within.
