[WTS] Seiko's First Chronograph Crown Monopusher 5719-45899 1964 Olympics Original Bracelet Serviced
Hey Reddit, up for sale is a vintage Seiko icon. This piece is the 5719-45899 monopusher chronograph. This is the very first chronograph movement produced by Seiko, in commemoration of becoming the official timekeeper of the 1964 Summer Olympic games held in Tokyo. This chronograph is unique in that it has a monopusher which starts, stops, and resets the chronograph seconds hand. The first Japanese timepiece with a stopwatch complication, the "Crown" moniker is inherited from the hand-wound (non-chronograph) piece of the same name which this movement is based on. This piece is incredibly hard to come by in this condition. The plastic bezel is in immaculate condition, and the lume plots are all intact. The dial has developed a warm rose or salmon toned patina. This example has just been serviced and is running at around +6 seconds per day. The chronograph function is working properly and resets to 12 o'clock.
