Pics first [**Pictures**](https://imgur.com/a/1TDm6g1) [**Updated Timestamp**](https://imgur.com/a/5YeVqkm) Up for sale today is my IWC UTC from the early aughts. It received a full service, a new crystal and hands, and a light polish from IWC last year($880 in total). **The IWC Service Center warranty is valid until 12/2025.** It is currently on a new Rios Buffalo leather strap with an IWC buckle and also includes a green Fluco waterproof pilot strap with an IWC buckle. The IWC buckles were purchased on eBay for $50 each and the straps were $45 each at Holbens. It's currently running well within COSC on the timegrapher. What I love about this watch is the classic pilot watch design with the added functionality of a UTC timer. With a 39mm case, a 12mm thickness, 47.75 lug to lug, this classically proportioned case will fit most wrists nicely. The Arabic numerals, black dial, and pilot's handset are all classic IWC details. Compared to the Mark XVI of the same era, I find this reference's use of applied arabic indices more interesting and it's traveler's GMT functionality more useful. Housed inside this UTC is the IWC caliber 30710 which is based on the ETA 2892. Unlike the standard 2892 however, this caliber has been modified to a traveler's UTC. Pulling out the screw down crown to the second position allows for the jumping forward and backwards of the hour hand independent of the UTC readout. While this functionality is common today, it was rather unusual in the mid aughts. The movement is also housed in a soft iron cage for resistance to magnetic fields. I purchased this last year for $3100, paid $880 for servicing, and an additional $190 for the two straps. I'm asking a firm **$2900** PayPal F&F shipped tracked and insured CONUS. Not looking for trades. Feel free to ask any questions. I've bought and sold many times here so please buy with confidence. I'm happy to Zoom with any serious potential buyers.
