[WTS] Tribus (Christopher Ward's other brand) TRI-02 GMT Chronometer
Good evening, WatchEx! Third and probably final for the night: an absolute spec-monster, value grab from Christopher Ward (the man, not the brand), the Tribus TRI-02 GMT Chronometer. Aside from the obvious beauty, this thing is absolutely loaded with features that'd you'd never dream of finding on a watch under $600. Great water resistance for a daily, proper Swiss GMT movement, inner-rotating bezel, and extremely handsome case design. The finishing is top-notch - every bit as good as Christopher Ward (the brand.) Tribus was founded by Christopher Ward himself, once he parted with his old watch company of the same name. Him and his sons ran this company with some success, but ultimately shuttered the brand (for now) due to low sales volume - likely because they originally had these listed near $3k new. Don't get me wrong, it's quality is worth every bit of 2-3x my price in my opinion, but their whole introductory marketing plan was a bit....odd. Regardless of brand success, this is one hell of a value statement. Quick Specs: - 316l Stainless Steel, Gunmetal DLC - 41mm Case, *very* well-finished - 12.6mm Thin (including box sapphire crystal) - 20mm Lugs - 15atm (150M) Water Resistance - Chronometer-Grade Sellita SW-330 (paperwork included), running exceptionally well. - Rotating Inner Bezel w/screw down crowns - Original leather strap in excellent condition - Watch is Like-New, zero notable flaws. Complete set.
