The dial on this is the well-known “Mount Iwate” pattern in a color dubbed "Autumn Dusk". The dial’s fine ridges are inspired by the view of the mountain peak from the Shizukuishi Grand Seiko studio where this timepiece is made, and the color is meant to evoke the atmosphere of Mount Iwate, just before the dusk of the clear Autumn air. The box-shaped sapphire crystal seems to pull light onto the Zaratsu-polished hands and markers; combined with the flat polished lugs this piece is stunning on the wrist. The 44GS case is done here in a rarely seen size 36.5mm, perfect for those with wrists that are overpowered by the 40mm+ pieces that usually utilize this case. The lug to lug length is 42.7mm, with 18mm lugs. The movement is the manual wind 9S64 with a 72hr power reserve.
