Hello r/watchexchange! Today I have a piece that is a staple in almost every seasoned watch collection. The Rolex Explorer is a true timeless classic first being released in the summer of 1953 (way before this one was made). This watch comes in one of the most desirable sizes featuring a 36MM. It fits extremely comfortably on your wrist and is surprisingly lightweight at only approximately 108 ounces whereas most sport models on a bracelet come in at around 150 grams. This piece features an extremely precise and lasting Rolex Calibre 3230 movement. Most Rolex models in general from around this time come watch only and occasionally come with a box (in which that box most likely wasn’t original to the watch). This Rolex however comes with box and papers which is extremely rare considering it is from 2001! The condition on this piece is spectacular for a 22 year old watch and I would rate it a 9.75/10 with only a couple micro scratches on the bracelet and clasp.
