Up for sale is a classic. 1969 Linen Dial Datejust 1603 with the original date matched jubilee bracelet. Recent overhaul and running beautifully. Ships with the box, no papers. Dial: original silver linen dial in excellent condition. Intact markers, crisp text, and all original lume plots intact and aged to a beautiful cream tone. Hands: original with intact lume that matches the dial lume. Under magnification there is a tiny bit of darkening around the edges of the lume. Overall, very nice original handset. Case: some wear and signs of polishing, as you’d expect from a watch of this age. No significant damage or wear from abuse or over polishing. Nice long lugs. The bezel is crisp and sharp. Bracelet: original 1969 bracelet. Nice buckle with relatively sharp Rolex crown. Will fit up to a 7.25” wrist as-is. Lots of stretch, but sound and very comfortable. Movement: running beautifully and all functions operating as they should. Fully overhauled a little under 2 years ago with no expense spared. Case tube and all gaskets were also replaced during service. Winds smoothly with crisp date changes. I hate to let this one go, but I’m pushing myself to reduce the numbers.
