After this came the 1016 and others. This one’s serial number begins with 597, dating back to 1959-1960 as per online. I traded this watch some years back from a “pseudo-famous” guy as he calls himself, a guy who actually came on a very popular TV series many years ago and was actually very much ‘famous’ in that regard. Good guy, I’ve talked a lot about watches with him. He is much into vintage timepieces.  This is a very valuable watch and attracts the niche watch collector who appreciates Rolex history. I initially traded this valued at $8.5k. This Explorer is in excellent condition given its age; its dial is genuine with original lume markers, and it comes with a genuine 7205 bracelet that was sent by Rolliworks (it has a 6635 bracelet that Rolliworks lost in shipment and sent this as a replacement). The watch has authentication papers from World Time in San Jose.
