As soon as I saw the original version of this watch manufactured for Lucky Brand, I just knew I had to try to improve upon it!
The most unusual shape of the case drew me in right away, and the fact that it had a skeleton movement made up my mind.
I modified it by:
1 making a better dial (hammered and engraved copper roof flashing)
2 coating the movement plates and bridges with copper dust suspended in an acrylic binding agent
3 coating the hands with silver mica suspended in an acrylic binding agent
4 riveting a hammered and engraved copper GPF logo over the original Lucky Brand one
I had a blast modifying this watch and think it came out really well!
Since I took the movement apart to ink it, I lubed it up during reassembly, so the ty2807 movement is freshly serviced and runs great.
I have worn this one of a kind 35mm x 45mm watch on occasion. It is not new and there is evidence of gentle wear on the caseback, case and crystal, but it is still in great condition.
