For sale- Timefactors Speedbird PRS-12 “1903” Limited Edition Chronograph Watch. This watch is virtually impossible to find these days. Only 100 were made in 2003. This watch is #52 of 100. The watch was made for Timefactors by Swiss watch manufacturer Zeno. It took many years to track this one down! Even though I searched for years to buy this watch, I’ve decided to sell it because my eyes have a hard time reading the time due to the vintage style silver hands.
The watch comes as pictured on a brown leather strap with the original wood box + watch pillow and outer cardboard box. It’s in good pre-owned condition, with some dings and scratches from use, most notably some dings on the bezel around 8-9:00 o’clock. The rest of the case looks really nice though, for a 20 year old watch (see detailed pictures). The crystal is very clean, with no scratches that I can see. Caseback has some very light signs of use.
NOTE- I bought the watch used and I do not know the service history. As this is a 20 year old watch, I’m certain the watch could use a full movement service and the crown will also need to be fixed. The screw-down crown screws in/out smoothly, but hand-winding and time-setting is a bit finicky and sometimes requires some outward pressure on the crown to hand wind and set the time. I never hand wind my watches, so I’ve been using the watch as-is. All it takes is a few shakes to spin the winding rotor (counterclockwise) and it starts right up. The watch doesn’t have a running seconds hand, so it’s hard to track accuracy, but it seems to run pretty well, atoo around -10 seconds/day.
The chronograph pushers operate as expected and all chronograph hands are aligned right at 12:00. The chronograph timing function works great and hands reset perfectly at 12:00.
As this is a 20 year old watch, I’m selling AS-IS with no returns.
