Good evening, WatchEx! Final post this evening: The Nomos Ludwig Neomatik, Ref. 254. Even as someone who shouts up and down about German watchmaking, I've really been on a tear with them lately. Nomos is one of the first "attainable" grails I ever sought after - and I treasure my Club NWC limited edition (#69 checking in, ayooooooo!) Surprisingly, this is my first experience with one of their Neomatik movements - and I'm just as blown away as I always thought I'd be. It is absolutely remarkable that a movement this pretty with a small seconds complication could be so thin. Well-finished from top to bottom, this Ludwig is a dream. "Why are you selling if you love it so much?!!?1!?" 'Cuz. I've got rules. If one stays, one goes. There's a reason my keeper box is only seven slots...I have near-zero self control. This is about as good as it gets for under fifteen-hundy. Great proportions (wears larger as it's all dial w/long lugs), beautiful/balanced dial, in-house movement, and German!
