Up for sale today is a very rare and exquisite Credor Node Spring Drive Big Calendar. This watch was released in Japan to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Seiko Spring Drive in 2009. The reference number is GBLP998. The case is finished in 18k rose gold. The hands, indices, and markers are all finished in rose gold as well. The dial is a deep scarlet color with a mother of pearl-ish pattern. The effect when the light hits the dial is stunning and I could not properly demonstrate it in photos. The big date or big calendar complication is rare for Japanese watches. The 7R87 Spring Drive movement is both practical and gorgeous. The finishing is immaculate as you would expect from a showcase piece from Seiko’s most exclusive brand. The 7R87 is hand-wound and accurate to +-15 seconds per month. The watch is in excellent condition with only very minor hairlines on the case. The sale comes with the inner and outer boxes, manual, and cleaning cloth. It also comes with the original alligator strap and 18k rose gold clasp. Also included is a bonus custom beaver tail strap. You might wait years before you see another one of these come up for sale.
