I bought this beautiful Seiko as a project. It had suffered a leak in its original rechargeable battery (capacitor). The watch was professionally cleaned and repaired. Button gaskets replaced. I sourced a new replacement for the original Seiko capacitor. The watch has been running flawlessly for 2-3 months on solar power. The light works great. The alarm is loud. The plastic bezel with "Silver Wave" was part of what originally attracted me to the watch. It's the Japanese market's equivalent to "Sports 100" in the US. Very cool. There are minimal dings on the shroud and the screws show no evidence of being tampered with. The case back is excellent and shows remnants of the original blue sticker around the center wave portion. The original bracelet shows no stretch and is in excellent condition. The biggest nit I can find on the watch is the top right pusher shows a little sign that there was once corrosion. You can see it in the last picture. However I didn't notice this for many months. It's not particularly obvious. The buttons feel good by the way. The display is dark and clear when viewed straight on. From an angle there is the slightest rainbow, which I have noted is common on these older Seiko displays.
