1954 Universal Geneve Monodatic ref. 400101 (serviced)
Dear Forum,
Offering a beautifully patinaed Universal Genève Monodatic ref. 400101 - gold-capped case with the elegant, angular “dog-leg” lugs this model is rightly loved for.
Case size is 35mm excluding crown - very proportionally balanced and wears quite modern due to the "bombee" aspect of the case and crystal.
One of my favorite watches to wear, in all honesty.
Serial 1,586,147 places production in the mid-1950s (c. 1954–1956).
The date wheel is the iconic alternating red/black “blackjack” style - a signature detail on these.
Dial + hands are original and untouched. Crown is a replacement from a later service - full transparency.
Inside beats the bumper cal. 138C - clean, crisp, and running as it should.
The watch was serviced in October 2025 (invoice is available to any serious buyer upon request).
It keeps good time on the wrist and winds / snaps over with that tactile, period-correct bumper sensation.
