For sale is a Rolex Cellini 5240/6 from the year 2000 (K-6 digits serial). It's in great condition for a 25-year-old watch, especially in light of the fact that it's made of platinum; unpolished, keeping time well, with minimal dents or scratches. The strap is original to the watch; it is in decent shape overall, but a section of the glazing on the left side of the strap has come undone (visible in photo 1). With the recent revival of the 1908 collection, I thought this might be an interesting bargain for some. For the same price as a stainless-steel Datejust, you can be the proud owner of a platinum Rolex, the modern counterpart of which costs 50k today. My potato of a camera does not capture the vibrance or beauty of the hammered mother-of-pearl dial at all — feel free to DM for better pictures of the dial and/or any other details of the watch.
