BLUF: The GOOD: A stunning, all-correct, unpolished, and unique example of an Omega Seamaster 176.007 BR / cal. 1040, with original papers and rare matching BR bracelet.
The BAD: One pusher has lost its cap (see photos). Some tarnish between pushers (same).
The PRICE: $2,100 (OBO), attractively priced unpolished B&P example, for rapid sale to good home.
DETAIL:
In 1977, upon famous horologist-engineer Albert Piguet's retirement from Lamania after 43 years of service, Lemania presented him with an engraved 176.007, in solid 18k yellow gold.
That very same year, after 15 years with Brake and Clutch Service Co., a Mr. Glenn C Jackson received this gold 176.007 (though, plated).
Up here is a rare 176.007 BR with bracelet, box & papers, unpolished. You might find cheaper ones, but not correct and untouched with the full kit, and with just a touch of connection to the history of Omega’s first auto-chronograph.

Dial: Original, uncommon champagne/gray iridescent dial (as seen in photos, it in some lights reads gray-gold, in others champagne).
Hands: Original baton style
Crown: Original (signed)
Crystal: Original plexi (signed), some light scuffs all left to new owner’s polywatch dance.
Case: 38.5mm (absent crown). Unpolished. Some very small hairline scratches or rubs, no dents. The hairline scratches are so few and feint it is difficult to photograph any of them, but please see photos. See also the bit of tarnish between pushers, which I leave to new owner to clean (or not) as they see fit.
Interior Tachy Bezel: These watches have a tachy bezel, interior to the plexi, often damaged. It’s pristine on this specific watch, as can be seen in the photos.
Pusher: This is really the only remarkable cosmetic blemish on this otherwise good example (replacement pushers can be had, if desired).
Movement: cal.1040 auto, not serviced in my possession. For the past 10+ years in my possession, I’ve not worn the watch save for photos or 2-3x a morning around the house, unwound. Date wheel clicks through as expected. Winding and time-setting all works as expected. Crono second and minute hands reset to 12 as expected. Based on movement appearance, I’d assume the watch deserves a service were it to be worn/wound with any regularity. (Service was not a priority for me as I largely kept the watch as a great example of an otherwise rare variant.)
Bracelet: This is the original BR bracelet (rather than service replacement, or straps these often sold alongside). Some very small hairline scratches, rubs, to the bracelet but no dents, but please see photos. Bracelet fits my my large 21cm wrist at the medium clasp-extension setting.
Accessories: Includes watch and bracelet, together with original paperwork, and a period-correct presentation box (unclear if original to this specific watch though I’d bet so if forced given originality and paperwork).
Location/Shipping: Watch located in Austin, TX, and price includes shipping to CONUS via USPS (if you would like FedEx Priority shipping, please add $25). (I will consider well thought out, proposed and reimbursed alternatives including international shipping, insurance, etc.; but I reserve the right to politely decline further effort – and these days, all EU/UK related headache is on buyer, with apologies and condolences.)
References: I’ve not sold a lot of watches (it’s a problem) since 2014; I’ve only sold watches on OF, and back then references were not so common/required a follow-up. The primary risk-adjustment I can offer buyer is my tenure on OF together, the above-linked work I’ve done on these 007 watches, together with the language below in bold italics.
