Hello Watchex, happy Saturday. I’ve got a funky one today - I’m putting my Cartier Basculante 2386 up for sale. 22mm x 32mm, classic tank dimensions with a twist. This one has a Swiss only dial, and should date to right around 2000. It’s been a joy to wear, but I’m changing things in the collection and the calculus dictates this one has got to go. As I’ve mentioned in some of my other posts, I’ve got a wedding to fund! The watch comes with an aftermarket leather strap and buckle, with rigid OEM Cartier service box/pouch. I initially purchased this watch off Chrono24 and imported it from France (UPS can kick rocks, they were awful). Ive thoroughly enjoyed the watch, and have worn it on several occasions ranging from casual to full suit - the watch fits all occasions well IMO. This model has a quartz movement, making it great for grab and go wear which was a personal highlight for me. Flipping function is a built in fidget spinner, and clicks satisfyingly and solidly into place face up and face down. Cabochon at 12 is in perfect condition and shines nicely in the light along with the blued hands at the right angle. Very light surface scratches from occasional wear, and a small spot of dust on the left hand side of the dial. Both lug screws are in good working order and healthy threading. Cartier box is solid, with the Cartier font mostly faded away. I suspect the box is as old as the watch, given the wear. I did my best to emphasize the flaws in the photos and video for transparency.
