Hello r/watchexchange Selling this beautiful vintage manual wind Japanese railway service watch. This was a government issued watch given to Japanese railway workers in the 1960s and 70s. This specific model is from 1975 and was on the Shizuoka line. Citizen was contracted to make these for the railway and were never sold to the public. Due to the nature of railway work, these watches needed to be extremely accurate and have a hacking feature which this is/has both! Case is 36mm, lug width 18mm, and very thin even with the domed acrylic. It has a stamped crown with "ctz" and engraving on the back showing the year and railway line. I picked this is up in great condition from Japan and got it serviced here in the US in December 2024. I opted to leave the case and dial in its original condition, but the movement, glass, and gasket are in tip top shape. I can provide service receipt upon request. This watch comes with a custom horween leather strap from houseofstraps that I got in February 2025. I'm having some career shifts so need to let this go.
