I have for sale a stunning “transitional” GMT Master ref.16750 from 1981, USA retailed in 1983.

Fantastic vintage condition case, original fat font ‘Pepsi’ insert with beautiful colors.

The rare matte dial is flawless with very attractive patina with matching tritium hands, date disk is original with open 6’s and 9’s.

Bracelet is original 78360 with correct ‘G’ date code, all 13 links, correct 580 ends.

Further, this example comes with its original set: Rolex inner and outer box, guarantee holder with serial tag, ‘Oyster’ and ‘GMT Master’ instruction booklets, translation booklet, both swing tags and calendar card.

7.1 serial dates back to 1981 and the dial is a rare transitional tritium matte dial.

The watch is original in every parts and runs well keeping good time.

The ref. 16750, that followed 1675 introducing the quick date set and doubling the water resistance rate, is regarded today as a transitional model and was in production for less than ten years.
The example that have here is one earlier versions with the transitional matte dial that continued the theme of the later 1675s before Rolex eventually switched out in favor of a glossy dial with white-gold surrounds on the indexes.

BEZEL INSERT:
Original Rolex "Pepsi" fat font serif insert in perfect condition with amazing colors.

DIAL:
The dial is an original and flawless matte dial with a strong patina even on all plots and all lettering is clearly visible and correct.
The hands are tritium and match perfectly to the dial.
Tritium is original and was checked with UVA light.
Dial shows no chips around the rehault and no scratches.

BRACELET:
The bracelet is the original 78360 with 580 endings, in very good condition.

BOX AND PAPERS
The watch comes with the full set except for the warranty certificate: the original Rolex box (inner/outer), the Rolex warranty holder (green folder), the Rolex calendar, the Rolex booklets ('Your Rolex Oyster', 'GMT Master'), Rolex tags.

MOVEMENT:
Correct 3075 caliber running well.
Original "open 6" data disc.
The movement was serviced 6 years ago according to the previous owner.
