For sale is this beautiful vintage Seiko Weekdater 6206-8040. This piece was produced in 1965 and is in excellent condition. The watch was the precursor to the original Grand Seiko 62 and features many of the same design elements, including the gorgeous sword hands, case, chapter ring, indices, and the Diashock 26 jewel 62 series movement. This watch features a unique day display. The crown features two positions and a quickset date. The photos show the crown in all three positions - pressed, quickset date, and time change - with the timestamp photo showing the fully recessed crown at 4 o’clock. The dial, hands, case, and caseback are in excellent condition. The case is unpolished and measures 36 mm, 19 mm between lugs, and 42 mm lug to lug. The crystal is also in excellent condition, but has a few superficial and thin scratches that were too tiny to be seen on camera.
