Up for sale is my Sinn GSG9 UX Hydro. This is an oil filled quartz monster. It is unique in a lot of ways. Firstly, the case is fully oil filled which gives it ridiculous pressure resistance. This is impressive but not all that useful for most of us. More practically, the oil gives the watch a ‘digital’ kind of look. It projects the image of the dial/hands directly onto the crystal. It's a very unique effect that 99% of other watches on the market don't have. The oil expands and contracts as the watch heats and cools. To keep it air bubble free, there is a metal baffle on the case back that allows the inner volume of the watch to change slightly. You can actually move the baffle with your finger if you push on it. Every part of the watch feels of rugged quality. The bezel is well machined and precise. The crown action is smooth and stable during screw down and time setting. The case edges are distinct but not sharp to the touch. Even spring bars have an extra deep  This example is in decent condition with some scratching on the case and minor scratches on the outer AR coating of the crystal. The battery was last changed by Sinn in later 2021 and likely has a few more years before it needs that again. It comes with papers (chronometer certificate, warranty cards, operating manual) and a Sinn deployant clasp for a Sinn rubber strap. It comes supplied on a generic 22mm rubber strap. Also throwing in a generic 21mm leather strap in case it’s at all of use to the buyer. I purchased this watch from its original owner in Japan about a year ago.
