For sale today is my extremely rare Ricoh full sized Ricoh tuna. These come up for sale only a few times per year on auction sites and forums. Not much is really known about these other than it's rare. A worthy addition to any tuna collection. Ricoh is known more for their cameras and printers; however, they were a major player competing with Seiko, Orient and Citizen in the Japanese watch market. They were the second Japanese company to create a quartz movement (cal. 550), and the first to release a quartz watch under 100,000 yen. This Ricoh features a stainless steel inner case and a powder coated titanium shroud. Its orange dial with diving flag insignia (Seiko never released a full sized tuna with an orange dial), asymmetric shroud, and almost comically shroud makes it quite different from seiko's offerings. Case: 48.5x16mm, 45mm l2l. In good condition with wear consistent for its age. Dial: original orange Ricoh dial with sharp colors and full lume plots. Hands: original hands, some patina and scratches Movement: in-house Ricoh 580, service history unknown, keeps good time. Bezel: scratches and dents throughout consistent with age. Nice firm clicks with good alignment. Bidirectional. Strap: N/A. Head only. I am asking $999 shipped CONUS for this piece. International shipping at buyer's expense. I accept PayPal F&F, Zelle, Cashapp, Venmo, Wise, Revolut, and bank transfer. PayPal G&S available for established buyers. Thanks for reading!
