The Panerai Radiomir California 1936 PAM 249 is a limited edition piece, with only 1936 pieces produced. Released in 2006 in honor of the 70th anniversary of the original Panerai military timepieces created in 1936, the PAM 249 features the unique California dial, which is characterized by Roman numerals for the top half and Arabic numerals for the bottom half.

The Panerai Radiomir PAM 249 features a 47 mm polished stainless steel case with a plexiglas crystal and an exhibition case back. The matte black dial features an outer minute track, Roman numerals from the 9 to 3 o’clock positions, and Arabic numerals from the 3 to 9 o’clock positions. The numerals and hour markers are lumed with a cream-colored Luminova, giving the dial a vintage aesthetic. The hour and minute hands are blued and filled with Luminova. Powered by a hand-wound Caliber OP X movement, with a 56-hour power reserve and a 30-meter water resistance rating.
