Manufacturing of Elgin watches took place at their facility in Elgin, Illinois.* Here’s another Elgin piece that takes us back to our Chicagoland roots, this time with a Masonic twist—though we have no personal ties to it. Elgin crafted this watch in 1923, likely intending it exclusively for members of the Brotherhood. We picked it up earlier this year, fell in love with its dial, and immediately got to work servicing, restoring, and converting it—we could not finish it fast enough. Under the hood (no pun intended) beats Elgin’s in-house 17-jewel Grade 344 movement, a dependable workhorse manufactured from 1906 to 1928. Elgin’s early 1900s craftsmanship is nothing short of extraordinary. To honor that legacy, our 44 mm conversion case is intentionally simple and elegant, designed not just for Elgin but for all American makers. This approach ensures that the history and heritage of these great American brands from a golden era of watchmaking remain the true stars of the show. The timepiece was expertly converted here in Little Rock, Arkansas. Every detail, from servicing, restoring, repairing, and casing, is all done in our shop in Little Rock. **Price**: $1,949, But absolutely negotiable—especially to someone with an interest in getting involved in vintage American watchmaking. **Case:** 316L stainless, 44 mm diameter, 47 mm lug to lug (52 mm with crown), 13 mm height, front/back sapphire crystals.
