Hello, r/watchexchange! This is my first post here after silently browsing through the sales for a year or so. Selling now some pieces of my collection. :) This is the quite rare first Omega Genève model (Ref 2981) with the “Genève” lettering in beautiful Italic on the dial. This model was only produced from 1959-1961. The automatic 491 movement with 19 jewels runs flawlessly and keeps time very well, was serviced just 6 months ago, you can find the immaculate state in the pictures. The case (34mm without crown) is made of stainless steel, still in good condition with the original sharp edges and even has the original Omega crown. Obviously after 60+ years there are superficial scratches, the only very small deeper one is on the left flank of the case (see additional pictures), which adds a bit of character to the watch. The highlight is certainly the great dial with the sought after pie pan, crosshair and rose-colored indexes and dauphine hands. Comes with a brand new, super soft German made and matching suede leather strap, as shown in the pictures (no original clasp).
